يعد مقياس سيكولوجية الاتصال من المقاييس المهمة في المسار التكويني للطالب في تخصص علم النفس، إذ يهدف إلى تمكينه من فهم طبيعة عملية الاتصال والعوامل النفسية المؤثرة فيها ودور الفرد في بناء تواصل فعّال مع الآخرين.
يركز المقياس على دراسة أهم الجوانب النفسية للاتصال، كالإدراك والانفعالات والدوافع، والاتصال اللفظي وغير اللفظي، إضافة إلى التفاعل الاجتماعي والعوامل المؤثرة في نجاح أو فشل عملية الاتصال.
